Maidenhead Heritage Centre

Maidenhead Heritage Centre

The history of Maidenhead stretches from before the Romans to racing cars, aeroplanes, Hammer Horror films and scandals at Cliveden.

At Maidenhead Heritage Centre, our lively “Story of Maidenhead” exhibition is supplemented with five free exhibitions a year in our Sammes Gallery, so there is always something new to see.

On the first floor of the museum is Grandma Flew Spitfires, our unique Exhibition and Archive dedicated to Air Transport Auxiliary, with a state of the art Spitfire simulator (admission charge applies).Opening hours are 10am to 4pm, Tuesdays to Saturdays. General admission free.
