The past couple of weeks I have been out and about in the town, meeting the locals, visiting local traders, shops, pubs and restaurants trying to gain information about them & their business to include on our website – the more information we have on there the better the results should be. We have had some tremendous results and our Twitter followers are increasing daily @welcome2wellie – it’s nice to think that a lot of other people out there also want the best for Wellington & are proud to be here.We have an in-house graphic designer – Sian James – who has designed the site and all credit to her it’s looking beautiful. Our website logo is a tree; this logo was evolved by Sian from an original by our Teccie Matt Price. The trees branches are formed of textured conversation bubbles, in the theme of our website objectives to generate more local conversation. The hessian texture draws in on Wellingtons Market adding a more sensual feel of touching and rough and rugged and very natural and organic. The actual tree symbolises something beautiful and old but continuously growing – Our little Wellington town. There are big plans for the site to develop over time, including a calendar of events and extended pages and sections about groups and local activities and sports. We would really appreciate your support and help in getting this out and about for people to give us more information and create a hype for the website launching this January.
